New office interior for AB InBev in Leuven

The world’s largest brewer AB InBev considered it the time for a total interior refurbishment of its headquarters in Leuven. A mix of our carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles have given the office building a stylish character.

  • Location: Leuven
  • Sector: Office
  • Product Category: Carpet tiles, Luxury vinyl tiles
  • Surface: 6.877 m²

Ease of maintenance

The new look for AB InBev’s headquarters was designed by the London-based firms Peldon Rose and JKR with Matadi Architects, Leuven, responsible for the execution. No less than 6,877 m² of carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles were installed on the different floors. The scheme used pattern and designs to facilitate ease of maintenance, with most floors installed using tackifier adhesive on a raised access floor. In fact, it was only the stylish Matrix 70 Ceramic design used in the sanitary blocks that was fully glued down.

Optimised acoustics

With the scheme harnessing the inherent acoustic performance of carpet tiles in desking areas and meeting rooms, and walkways through open collaboration spaces, the offices deliver a productive working environment. By using Matrix 70, the design enjoys a level transition between carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles, so that the performance of both floors can be fully exploited.

Sustainable credentials

With responsible sourcing and efficient manufacturing, our positive approach to sustainability was another factor in the choice of Mohawk Group flooring throughout the interior. Combining our efforts in reducing impact with low maintenance, excellent durability and resilience; our carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles provide AB InBev’s headquarters with a floor that supports productivity.
